On February 9, 2022, Mr. Thinh and his colleagues and guests held the Groundbreaking ceremony of the Sunshine Macadamia Project in Krong Nang District, Dak Lak.

Sunshine Macadamia Project is located on a land area of more than 600 hectares with a total investment capital of 10 billion VND and is expected to produce 700 tons/year by 2025. This is a project that brings a lot of value to farmers in Dak Lak province in particular and the Central Highlands region in general.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Kim Chung - Director of Sunshine Macadamia Cooperative said: “We have had more than 10 years of association with Dak Lak, so the company clearly understands the potentials and advantages of Dak Lak in general and Krong Nang district in particular are gaining. The Sunshine Macadamia project starting construction will contribute to enhancing the value and brand of Vietnamese agricultural products when exported to other countries around the world. When the project comes into operation, it will certainly have a great impact on agricultural, economic and social development of Krong Nang district in particular and Dak Lak province in general.”
Implementation strategy and development orientation of Sunshine Macadamia project
Implementation strategy
Phase 1: Preparation and planning
Evaluate natural conditions, climate, and soil to select suitable areas for macadamia growing. At the same time, build a master plan including: goals, scope of work, resources, budget and implementation schedule.
Phase 2: Deploying infrastructure and technology
Develop irrigation systems, roads, warehouses and necessary auxiliary works such as processing workshops, inspection areas, packaging areas, shipping areas,...
Organize training programs for farmers and staff on growing techniques and care for macadamia trees.
Phase 3: Planting and care
Implement tree planting according to the established plan and ensure compliance with technical standards.
At the same time, apply tree care measures such as watering, fertilizing, pruning and protecting plants in accordance with Viet GAP standard procedures.
Phase 4: Harvesting and processing
Organize macadamia harvesting according to set standards, ensuring quality and productivity. Finally, post-harvest processing: cleaning, drying and preserving macadamia nuts to prepare for consumption.
Orientation and planning for production and consumption activities
Sunshine Macadamia focuses on producing high quality macadamia nuts, adhering to sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural standards. In parallel, we are developing product distribution channels including retail, wholesale, and export. Develop a marketing strategy to promote Sunshine macadamia products to domestic and foreign consumers.
